Hypernarrative
This poster is a visual glossary of over 40 influential figures including artists, designers, and activists. The visual layout is designed through logic rather than a visual key. Through studying the poster, one can associate the black shapes accompanied alongside the designer to a particular category featured in the highlighted text. The sections with squares detail design through activism; the circles reflect design through logos; the triangles reflect design through minimalism; the segments with no shape represent designers with a focus on typography. The design of this poster was heavily inspired by constructivism and Dada aesthetics. The type is justified in such a way that compliments the forms of the shapes. The impact on legibility serves a double purpose of making the descriptions of these designers less legible, since they are more prominent throughout the canon, but also doing the same with those that are typically less known, as their historical documentation is more obscure.
